I officially have lower back issues. It's not just muscle tightness like I originally thought. While running the second 800 I can feel a sharp pinch at the base of my spine and it was with each step. Not cool. Oh well, I'll just program running wods with lifts that don't use my back at all. I can do bodyweight + run chippers, run + presses/jerks, run + box jumps/burpees etc.

Tonight I'm doing a variation on a CrossFit classic. It's gonna be tough.

Lower back is shot. I need a true rest day tomorrow and then smart programming for Monday and Tuesday.

  1. I have similar issues with running which is partially why i hate running so much, except mine is lower back on the right side mostly.. and definitely worse with DL, KB, WB or PC. I usually avoid those WODS well actually I avoid running WODs because the lifting alone doesn't bother it. Which is why I think maybe it has to do with my form? I don't know. I signed up for a 5k in June which.. laugh if you want.. is a big deal for me because I don't think I've ever run that much except maybe x-country in ELEMENTARY school, though maybe a mile would have been considered x-country back then, I dunno. Anyway, I guess I should probably start TRAINING for that. I definitely can't run with Homie because he pulls on the leash which makes it even worse. Bondi is fine though. Perfect angel :-) Maybe even a little lazy haha
